Riders 10, Oxen 1

No podcast for this post, just a picture that pretty much explains itself.

I'm not a huge fan of The Weekly Standard, but they posted a fantastic graphic, which I've adapted for us "Shruggers".

For people who think voting is going to turn this around, remember, voting is what got us into this!

The choice is yours--you can get busy voting, or get busy shrugging.

  1. What I like so much about Shrugging Out is the advocacy for NOT participating in wacked out agendas.

In my hometown of Pendleton, OR the city council built a Road to Nowhere and is paying for it with a $.04/gallon or $.05/gallon gas tax within the city limits. A referendum was called and the insanity was narrowly affirmed.

Now, pretty much everyone I know refuses to buy gas within the city limits. This boycott is getting old: 4 or 5 years. It has become a way of life.

It doesn't make economic sense to leave town to save $.05/per gallon. But principles demand incurring the cost and inconvenience.

  2. Thanks for proving the axiom that they can't take advantage of you without your permission. Press on, Mike!
